Justin Roiland's animated show scores two seasons on Hulu

Stay outta my personal space

Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick and Morty, has secured a two season order from Hulu for an upcoming animated comedy series. Each season will be eight episodes in length, giving Roiland a total of 16 episodes.

The show is callled Solar Opposites, and follows a family of aliens that decide to settle down in rural America, of all the places in the universe. The show was created by Roiland along with Rick and Morty writer Mike McMahan, but is still quite early in pre-production. Roiland and McMahan will serve as both writers and executive producers on the show, and as always, Roiland will lend his voice to several key characters (and many absurd, disgusting ones as well).

Just thinking about this boggles my mind. Adult Swim dished out an order for 70 more episodes of Rick and Morty back in May of this year, which means that Roiland is going to be obsessively busy for the forseeable future. I suppose if your life is creating television series that are widely celebrated on the internet though, your situation is pretty good already.

The first season of Solar Opposites will debut sometime in 2020.
