LCD Soundsystem doc playing theaters for one night only

0

It’s been a while since we’ve reported anything on Shut Up and Play the Hits, the documentary/concert film about the final LCD Soundsystem show. After premiering at Sundance in January, we didn’t hear word on theatrical release plans, at least until now.

Shut Up and Play the Hits will be in theaters for one night only on July 18th. There are currently 72 theaters across the country that will shut up and show the film. (Sorry, Delaware.) Tickets go on sale on June 8th. If it’s like LCD Soundsystem’s last show, expect scalpers to buy all of those movie tickets and additional screenings to be announced.

Here’s a handy dandy list of theaters showing the film. If you don’t see your city on the list, you can demand they play the film in your town through that theater list site. Intercourse, Pennsylvania, you too can have the LCD Soundsystem movie if you just believe.
