Luc Besson announces sci-fi adaptation Valerian, also joins social media

Evidently Luc Besson is not much for the social medias, but something has brought him on board and that something is an adaptation of the French science-fiction comic Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Evidently it’s a pretty big deal in France and it will Besson’s biggest project ever considering his usual fare is lower-budget action.

Besson dropped info across all the big social media platforms, and gist is that the film will be released some time during the summer of 2017 and will star Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières.

If this is going to be some big budget sci-fi film it’s pretty obvious while Besson hopped on social media (FacebookInstagramTwitter). His production company EuropaCorp has never done anything like this and they’re going to need all the hype the can get, especiallyto succeed outside of Europe where the comic isn’t as well known.

Hello everyone – As you probably noticed I’m not really the king of social media, it’s, in fact, my first day on it. Why…
