Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials gets a Minecraft trailer because...teens?

How do you do, fellow kids?

The Maze Runner franchise is another one of those "teens railing against The Man in a dystopian future" stories that I don't get because I'm an old, cranky man still complaining about the Harry Potter movies. Anyway, kids seem to like it well enough, and the movie adaptation of the first novel in James Dashner's series did well enough to justify a sequel, so Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials is officially a thing that's happening. Cool teens love Maze Runner, so it only makes sense to combine it with something else cool teens love. What else do cool teens love? Why, Minecraft, of course – the world-building game that's one of the most successful indie games of all time.

So it only makes sense that the newest Scorch Trials trailer is done entirely in Minecraft. Wait, what? That can't be right.

Oh...it totally is. The newest trailer was done entirely in Minecraft.

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials stars Dylan O'Brien, Nathalie Emmanuel and Aiden Gillen, not that you can tell from the trailer.
