New image from Star Trek Into Darkness

Another blockbuster, another villain who is intentionally captured

With so few day's left until The Hobbit is released, and subsequently the 9 minute preview of J.J. Abram's Star Trek Into Darkness, Paramount has released an image of our boys Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) holding the villain (Benedict Cumberbatch) captive, which one can probably assume is all part of the plan

For those who missed it, there's still the teaser trailer to deconstruct and wonder whether or not not Abrams is going a little too far into action territory. Considering that everything is blowing up, he probably is. For those not dissuaded, The Hobbit/Star Trek preview releases this coming weekend on December 14, with the full film hitting theaters on May 17, 2013.
