New motion poster for Carrie remake

0

Motion posters are cool ... right? A new motion poster (also known as the .gif's more sophisticated older sibling) has been released for Kimberly Peirce's adaptation of the Stephen King novel -- Carrie. The motion poster features a central image of Carrie, played by Chloe Grace Moretz, (who by the way is 16 years old) broken up into several smaller segments that flash with vaguely scary imagery from the movie. Oh, also the central image of Moretz features the phrase "Keep Calm and Carrie On," a spin on the WWII slogan.

Two things: are motion posters really that cool? They're like a weird half-way step between an image or poster and a trailer, and they rarely offer any new information. Personally I don't care much for them and I hope they're just a fad. Speaking of fads, can we please agree to stop using the phrase "Keep ____ and Carry ____"? It's so overused. I'd rather hear "WASSUUUPP" again. Anyway, hit the jump to see the motion poster and Carrie will open in theaters October 18th, 2013.
