New Terminator: Dark Fate stills show a much older cast

Paramount Pictures has given fans a look at the cast in the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate and, expectedly, everyone looks much older. It’s been roughly 28 years since Terminator 2 hit theaters, so I’m not sure what I was thinking. I just can’t get the thought out of my head that Arnold is supposed to be a robot, yet he looks like an old man. Did the T-800 have aging built into its systems?

Linda Hamilton doesn’t look so bad, though. It’s just been a long time and I’m not sure I can take this film seriously. Terminator 2 had such a perfect ending, yet we’re now retconning the previous three films because the series took a nosedive in quality. Is Dark Fate merely happening to return the series to its former glory?

Anyway, I’m honestly really surprised how much Diego Boneta looks like a young Michael Biehn. Boneta hasn’t been confirmed to be playing John Connor, but I would not be surprised if he ends up in the role. It would be almost too perfect to pass up.

Terminator: Dark Fate opens nationwide on November 1, 2019.
