New trailer and poster for Mad Men creator's Are You Here

Are You Here marks Matthew Weiner's (the creator of popular TV show Mad Men) film directorial debut. And apparently it's a bit of a doozy. Are You Here has a pretty big-name cast, including Zack Galifianakis, Owen Wilson and Amy Poehler, yet the buzz about the movie when it debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year was almost completely negative. Weiner reportedly told Enterianment Weekly that the theatrical cut of the movie is very different from the version that played at TIFF, so maybe it'll be better now.

Are You Here looks okay judging by the trailer alone, though I can see how maybe the movie tries to walk that line between comedy and drama and just doesn't really make either work. It also looks like a pretty far cry from Mad Men, which is an interesting choice for Weiner. Are You Here will open in theaters later this summer on August 22nd, 2014.
