Patrick Stewart joins Ben Affleck's Batman as Mr. Freeze

Make it so? Make it SNOW!

More major news from DC's cinematic universe as Warner Bros. is using April 1st to make major announcements. Earlier we reported that Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie is moving forward and, more importantly, George Miller has replaced Zack Snyder on Justice League. Now we can report that Patrick Stewart has been cast as Mr. Freeze in Affleck's Batman movie.

Stewart--a natural choice for the cold-hearted yet tragic supervillain--will join Jeff Goldblum as The Riddler in Affleck's film. What's interesting about these casting reports is that Goldblum has been confirmed to appear in both Batman and Justice League. Stewart will only appear in Affleck's Batman movie. This really makes me wonder what plans are in store for The Riddler.
