RIP Debbie Reynolds (1932-2016)

0

She was 84 years old

Actress and singer Debbie Reynolds died on Wednesday at the age of 84. This was soon after the death of her 60-year-old daughter Carrie Fisher. Reynolds reportedly suffered from a stroke the day after her daughter's death, which proved fatal.

Reynold's last words were "I want to be with Carrie."

Reynolds is best known for her role in Singin' in the Rain, and appeared in a number of other notable films over the years, including How the West Was Won, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, and Charlotte's Web. Reynolds was a noted philanthropist, putting her celebrity and energy into a number of causes, including AIDS activism and, like her daughter, mental health awareness.

Flixist sends its condolences to the family and loved ones of Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher in this extremely tragic and difficult time.
