Sam Neill thinks Jurassic Park 4 is a franchise reboot

The last we heard about Jurassic Park 4, the production had been delayed indefinitely. It was odd and abrupt, especially since the script was in place and Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) was all set to direct.

Sam Neill, star of the first and third films in the Jurassic Park franchise, may hold an answer to all this. In an interview with The Dominion Post about his winery, Neill said the following about Jurassic Park 4: “I’m told it’s a big reboot, a total re-jig.”

Neill isn’t expected to appear in the next Jurassic Park movie, and it’s unclear where he heard this from, so let’s file this as a rumor for now. My guess: Neill learned this info from cutting up the covers to various Sutter Cane novels.
