By UPDATE: New rumors suggest that both Orlando Bloom and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are also being considered to play Batman.
Last week’s rumors about Superman vs. Batman involved some older actors portraying the Dark Knight, including Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling. This week we have a report of an actor out of left field who’s auditioned to play Batman: Scott Adkins. The 37-year-old Adkins tweeted and then deleted the following over the weekend:

Adkins would be a solid choice given his strength and agility as an on-screen fighter, and he would be considerably cheaper to get than Brolin or Gosling. (Not as good an actor, though.) I’ve really dug his fights in the Undisputed movies and Ninja, and I think he’s got the beefy-Batman look like in the Arkham games. There was news that Bloodsport and Kickboxer are both being remade, and Adkins would actually be my choice to star in those.
