Stalkers abound in new trailer for season three of Jessica Jones

Are you still a hero if nobody thinks you are?

To call me woefully behind on Netflix' Marvel output would be an understatement, though at this point it's more me basking in the glory and failings of the Defenders as they grittily brawl their way through New York. A new trailer for the forthcoming third season of Marvel's Jessica Jones would confirm that things are still gritty, and brawls are still a thing.

Krysten Ritter returns as the titular Jess Jones, dryly swaggering though the latest hurdle of superherodom. The Foolkiller, or Gregory Jones, is a relatively-obscure Marvel villain whose modus operandi includes the attack of those he deems mediocre or guilty of hypocrisy, blaming them for society's failings. One thing or another has clearly put Jessica on the loony's list, with seemingly fatal implications.

With Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and The Punisher going the way of the dodo, season three of Jessica Jones serves as a bittersweet moment for fans, with this confirmed to be the final season. It was an interesting, often successful time for Marvel adaptations. One can only hope that whatever Disney is cooking up for their upcoming streaming service makes improvements where needed.

Season three of Jessica Jones premieres exclusively on Netflix June 14, 2019.
