The Guns of Christmas being directed by Mortal Kombat: Legacy director

You won’t believe it, but The Guns of Christmas Past is exactly what it sounds like: an action adaptation of the classic A Christmas Carol. A very loose adaptation. The film has just landed a director in Kevin Tancharoen, who you probably don’t remember did a very good job on the Mortal Kombat: Legacy series. Hopefully this big screen venture goes better than his last, which was the Fame remake.

The film will involve a hitman who must fight three adversaries — one from his past, one from his future and one from his present — in order to avenge a friend. This all goes down on Christmas of course. That’s most likely when the film will be released too (not this year though), but it’s so far away from being done that’s just a guess.
