The Hawkeye series has found its showrunner

Hawkeye's got a point-man

Hawkeye is set to be one of the bigger sells in Marvel Studios' push of content for Disney+, with Jeremy Renner set to reprise his role as the titular arrow-slinger. The streaming series is also to see the debut of Kate Bishop, who would take the Hawkeye mantle from Renner's Clint Barton.

With Hawkeye set for a Fall 2021 release there's still a ways to go until we'll get in on the avengin' action, though news today gives us a clearer picture of the team that will be bringing the series to life.

Jonathan Igla is known for his work on Mad Men, having written in various capacities on some-30 episodes of the AMC series. Igla is confirmed today to be serving as showrunner on Hawkeye

Some might balk at the leap from period-drama to superhero auctioneer, but I think a good writer is a jack of many trades. Time and the work will tell!
