Everybody loves crime drama The Wire. Everybody also loves Pixar. Clearly somebody caught onto this, as The Wire vets Idris Elba and Dominic West have joined the voice cast of Finding Dory!
Talking to ShortList, Dominic West said, “I saw Idris recently…We’re both in the sequel to Finding Nemo, so we were recording that. I’m in pretty regular contact with a lot of guys from The Wire; a lot of them are godparents to my kids, so I love them dearly.” While their roles are unknown, they join new voices Ty Burrell as a beluga whale named Bailey, while Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton will voice Dory’s parents. Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, and Willem Dafoe will all reprise their roles from the first film.
The film is still a ways off, with a release date of June 17, 2016, but news like this will keep fueling the hype train! Are you excited about Finding Dory, or are you saving all your Pixar-ticipation for the new Incredibles?[via /film]
