These new Mad Max: Fury Road images are filthy

Mad Max: Fury Road‘s production has have been a bumpy road with constant delays, hiccups and whatnot. For example, it’s not hitting theaters until next year yet most of the film has been shot since December 2012. But by the looks of these images from Entertainment Weekly, it’s going to be worth the wait. If all else fails, we’re at least guaranteed that Fury Road has the look down. Everyone in these images needs to take a shower.

And from the synopsis they’ve got the story down too (complete with less digital effects and dialogue if EW is to be believed). It seems like Fury Road is just one long chase scene. If that’s not Mad Max I don’t know what is. Mad Max: Fury Road hits theaters May 15, 2015.

MAX: FURY ROAD is the fourth film of George Miller‘s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order… There’s Max (played by TOM HARDY from The Dark Knight Rises), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And… Furiosa (played by CHARLIZE THERON from Prometheus), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
