Things look more snowy and grim than I remember in the season four teaser for Stranger Things

Hopper's Hawaiian shirt missing in action

Following a brief tease last year, Netflix has dropped another look at the upcoming fourth season of kids-fight-back blockbuster series Stranger Things, and we sure ain't in Indiana anymore.

Tracking across the snowy plains of what would appear to be Russia (read: still the Soviet Union), season four's action would seem to stretch far beyond the borders of Hawkins, with everyone's favorite local sheriff Jim Hopper (David Harbour)... not so local anymore.

As someone who started and stopped with Stranger Things' first season back in 2016, this is all very peculiar for me.

For fans eager to return to the world of weird science, hopefully the wait won't be too excruciating. With season three premiering last July, it would seem a little early still to expect a chilly date with this upcoming season. No doubt we'll be hearing more in the coming months.
