Finding a good place to live can be hell, there’s no doubt about that. Worse yet are the night noises, the strange neighbors. As someone who relocated to a city all on his lonesome and started life in a cheap bedroom of a townhouse shared with two anonymous dudes, I can testify to that stress. I also had to give up a cat in my move, so needless to say I feel great empathy for the heroine in the above trailer for 1BR.
In this grisly bit of home horror, Sarah leaves behind a painful past to follow her dreams in Hollywood. She scores the perfect apartment–but perfect apartments always come with sinister strings attached. Poor Sarah learns this too late and must maintain her crumbling sanity or remain in an existential hell forever.
Oh, to live in a world where you can escape an existential hell!
Look, I was gripped to the max the second they put the cat in the oven, so I can’t wait to dig my teeth into this thriller. We can all watch 1BR from the terrifying prisons our own homes have become when it moves into VOD and theaters on April 24, 2020.
