Trailer: Mood Indigo

L'Ecume des Jours - Bande annonce finale

Mood Indigo (titled L’Écume des Jours or “Froth on the Daydream” in French) is director Michel Gondry’s newest dealings with love and loss. With such previous heavy-hitters as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep, Mood Indigo seems to follow in its predecessors footsteps with a charming, magically realistic world full of lost yet soulful characters. Mood Indigo is actuatly an adaptation of the 1947 French novel L’Écume des Jours by Boris Vian.

Mood Indigo will tell the story of newlyweds Colin- the guy with the pianocktail- and Chloe, a lovely young woman who falls ill from a flower growing inside her lungs. Colin and Chloe are played by Romain Duris and Audrey Tautou, respectively. Oh, and sorry, unfortunately this trailer is currently only available in it’s native French and is without subtitles, but I think it’s still worth seeing for the visual smorgasbord a Gondry film brings anyway.
