By Dee Rees’ Pariah first made waves at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and now has a shiny, new HD trailer to help rack up some more interest for the movie. Pariah tells the story of a teenage girl named Alike – played by Adepero Oduye – who struggles to find a place in the world and in her family as she begins to understand that she is a lesbian.
The trailer comes across as intensely emotional and dramatic and my impression of Oduye is that she’s a young actress who knows what she’s doing, which is always exciting to see.
