By This trailer … (heavy sigh) … this trailer is one of those trailers that does the opposite of what it’s intended to do. First, it makes the movie it’s advertising seem cliché and nonsensical – but not in a good way – and then it commits the cardinal sin of movie trailers, it gives too much of the movie’s plot away. Or at least, it feels like it does, which to me is just as bad.
The Caller is a movie about a girl who moves into a new apartment who starts getting weird calls from a weird lady on her rotary phone who she eventually discovers through investigations is from – wait for it – the past! Horror ensues. Presumably.
