Trailer: The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete

Not to be horribly confused with Pete & Pete

The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete may not have received the greatest buzz from the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, but I'm staying relatively optimistic. This newest trailer for the film may paint it as overtly melodramatic and heavy handed, but the central children are too damn charming to miss out on. But I'm still worried that the whole film is going to be nothing more than: kids have good luck, hardship, kids have more good luck, even worse hardship, and gut punch.

But regardless of all that, Anthony Mackie has - the sickest - beard. The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete gets a limited theater run October 11th.
