The Raven is one of those alternate history-ish kinds of movies you see every so often, where a famous historical figure is put in a bizarre situation. Edgar Allen Poe (John Cusack) finds his life turned upside down when a mysterious killer starts murdering people in ways inspired by the famous works of Poe, and he finds himself working with the police to solve the murder.
It’s also strikingly dumb-looking. I’ll reserve my harsher judgements, since this is only ONE trailer, but I’m not excited so far. We also have two images from the film, which you can find in the gallery below. One is of Cusack and director James McTeigue, and the other is Luke Evans as Detective Emmett Fields, who works with Poe during the film.
