Do not trust any videos for the movie for a while

UPDATE: Marvel confirmed Rudd's casting through a press release. Greatest bit is when it states Rudd is the actor Marvel had in mind from day one. Paul Rudd is joining the Marvel universe in a movie directed by Edgar Wright? I'll be there day one. Original story below

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” has found its hero in Paul Rudd, who will star in the new film from director Edgar Wright hitting theaters July 31, 2015!

The casting of Rudd represents the actor that Marvel had long ago identified as its first choice to play Ant-Man, continuing the studio’s desire to cast actors that bring several dimensions to its onscreen heroes.  The film’s plot is being kept under wraps.

As we reported previously Paul Rudd has been on the short list of people to play Ant-Man in the aptly named, upcoming Ant-Man. It seems now that he is indeed going to tackling the part. Among reports that he is in final negotiations it seems pretty much confirmed that Rudd will start lifting weights and not being a flubby every man soon.

As for the casting choice, I think he's got the jaw for it and can play nerdy scientist well enough. He's definitely proven he can bring some drama to his characters and since a ton of the action will probably be CGI I'm not too worried about his ability to leap through the air. This could definitely play out quite well with Edgar Wright directing.

Now the final step is for the Internet to stop posting "exclusive clips" and showing the one from Mac and Me that Rudd always shows on Conan. It's funny when Rudd does it. It is not funny when everyone else does.
