UPDATE: Snow White and the Huntsman sequel loses Frank Darabont, gains Emily Blunt

UPDATE: Universal has already found a replacement in second-unit director and VFX specialist Cedric Nicolas-Troyan. He helped on the first film and is also set to direct the upcoming Highlander reboot. Well alright.

Remember that planned sequel/prequel/whateverquel to Snow White and the Huntsman? Despite all of the trouble it's gone through, someone still desperately wants it to happen. The last we'd heard of it, it was a planned trilogy. I...I don't think that's going to happen.

Frank Darabont was signed on to direct, but has left the project over creative differences. Now Universal is searching for another director, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron are set to return, and notable Emily Blunt is in talks to join the cast as the Witch's sister or something. Currently, the film's about the Huntsman's search for a magic mirror, and then he runs into the Witch or something.

Obviously, I've lost whatever interest I had in this. Soooo we'll keep on eye on this, I suppose.
