Last week, we were promised that everything in Doctor Who was about to change. That was a bold declaration. While I can’t say that everything changed, I can say that this was the most impactful episode on the larger universe of the show since “The Day of the Doctor.” Let’s talk about this week’s season finale, “The Timeless Children.”   read

Firefly is a beloved television series that was cut down far too young. It was one of the most infamous cancellations of a promising TV show. It was a space-western that takes place centuries in the future. It had an incredib...   read

Last week, I was surprised to see the return of Cybermen to Doctor Who. I was further surprised to see that the episode was the beginning of a two-parter. This week, I was surprised to find that we have just experienced the middle of a three-parter. The ending of this season continues to catch me off guard. So let’s talk about the “Ascension of the Cybermen.”   read

Disney has been working on a revival of the classic Disney Channel show, Lizzie McGuire. Last month, production halted abruptly when the show's creator left. We finally have an idea why. It all comes down to the "family-friendly" nature of Disney+.   read

Last week’s episode teased us with a moment of the Doctor pondering Frankenstein. This week saw the fulfillment of that promise, albeit in an unexpected manner. There was a monster made from a dead man, but it was not the Frankenstein’s creature we’ve been long familiar with. Let's discuss "The Haunting of Villa Diodati."   read

This week's recap is a bit late due to technical difficulties and a few other factors. Nevertheless, I hope you'll join us as we take a look at the most recent Doctor Who episode, "Praxeus." Unlike last week, this episode stands almost entirely on its own. It is a singular adventure requiring no prior experience with Who.    read

Watch Video We've all heard of Hamilton: An American Musical, right? It's the universally acclaimed, Tony Award dominating Broadway sensation about an American historical figure. The play consistently sells out theaters wherever it goes. It is really difficult and expensive to see. Fortunately, that won't be a problem forever. Disney has announced that they will release a recording of the musical on film.   read

Doctor Who treated us this week to a whirlwind nostalgia trip. The Doctor came face-to-face with shadows of her past, the audience was gifted a visit by a fan favorite character, and all parties involved were reintroduced to a beastly villain. It’s a great week to be a Whovian! Let’s spend a few moments together discussing Fugitive of the Judoon.   read

I was so happy to see the Doctor and friends go on an adventure with Nikola Tesla this week. It was a real treat, and a major step up from last week. I enjoy when Doctor Who takes the time to give us a glimpse into the lives of historical figures, especially when it’s someone under-appreciated.   read

Taika Waititi is a busy man. He released my favorite film of 2019, Jojo Rabbit. He is slated to direct Thor 4, and at some point he's hoping to direct a live action adaptation of Akira. He's about to start directing Next Goal Wins. And now it seems that Disney and Lucasfilm are trying to hire him as director for a Star Wars film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.   read
