By Four months back Diesel had let this cat out of the bag, yet nothing was confirmed until now. Joining Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Benecio Del Toro, Michael Rooker, Dave Bautista, John C. Reilly, and Bradley Cooper is Vin Diesel voicing the tree alien man, Groot. Did you ever think a line up like that would be in a Marvel movie? We’ve come a long way from just having Eric Bana. These movies are big vehicles now, and it’s insane to think of the pull the company has.
Although Vin Diesel will essentially only say one sentence (“I am Groot”) in a myriad of ways throughout Guardians of the Galaxy, if it’s anything like his voice work in The Iron Giant, you can expect great things. I know I will. Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters August 1st next year.
