Voice cast for Michael Bay’s Ninja Turtles film announced

Following the news of Megan Fox’s casting as April O’Neil in Michael Bay’s upcoming Ninja Turtles film adaptation, IGN has reported on the cast voicing our favorite green heroes. Announced last week was Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) as Raphael. Joining him are Pete Ploszek (Parks and Recreation), Jeremy Howard (Breaking Bad), and Noel Fisher (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2) as Leonardo, Donatello, and Micaelangelo, respectively. Yeah, but what? All of these actors, with the exception of Ritchson’s upcoming role in Catching Fire, aren’t really well known. Could this be a sign that the Bay-produced, Jonathan Liebesman-directed film really be focusing more on April O’Neil and Casey Jones, as hinted by the script link?

On another note, our sister site, Destructoid, released images of the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows video game detailing a new look for the Heroes in a Half-Shell. The game, which doesn’t appear to be tied to any specific property (despite the success of the currently-running Nickelodeon series), features odd designs for the turtles, gravitating towards more realistic depictions. Could this game, scheduled for an undetermined summer release date, be our first glimpse of Bay’s Turtles?

Only time will tell…
