By It may have been in a sticky development the last few years (with Sam Raimi leaving the project, Duncan Jones signing on as the new director, and going through a few rewrites), a movie based off one of the biggest videogames in the world, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, is finally happening. During a Blizzcon panel last week, Legendary/Universal revealed the release date, cast, and plot.
If you were worried the film wouldn’t be a faithful adaptation, it looks like we can put those worries to rest as it’s all about the fight between the Alliance and Horde. Here’s the entire breakdown after the jump. It’s quite a bit.

Alliance:
Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel)
The lead protagonist for the Alliance, Lothar is a war hero who has sacrificed everything to keep the people of Azeroth safe.
King Llane Wrynn (Dominic Cooper)
King Llane is the leader of the Alliance city of Stormwind and a beacon of hope to its people in a time of darkness.

Known as ‘the Guardian,’ Medivh is a mysterious and reclusive protector who wields formidable power.
