Wonder Woman movie nabs director Michelle MacLaren

We're going to get so many superhero films the rest of this decade I say we just pay attention to the ones with enough unique bits to stand out. Chief among these is Warner Bros' eventual take on Wonder Woman. After our most likely burning out from all the strong men in tiny tights, a fresh, female perspective is going to be amazing. We've been hearing rumblings of Warner Bros searching for a directress, and now we've finally got confirmation.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros has hired Michelle MacLaren (who's directed episodes of Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and other cool TV shows) to make her theatrical directorial debut. Other thing of note is she'll be developing the film alongside the writers (who've yet to be revealed) with Zack Snyder to produce. It's too soon to say if we'll even want a Wonder Woman movie when this finally releases, but this is a great step in the right direction. I mean, the last superhero film directed by woman (Punisher: War Zone) was fantastic, so bring on more of that please.
