Five non-musical/comedies are nominated for Best Musical or Comedy

And the big guns are fired. The Golden Globes have announced their nominees setting us up for endless debate of what deserves to be there and what doesn't. What surprises are there? Well, how about five non-comedy/musical movies being nominated in the Best Comedy Musical category. The Wolf of Wall Street, Inside Llewyn Davis, Her, Nebraska and American Hustle all grabbed nominations in the category and none of them fit there. Her is the most egregious misrepresentations, but American Hustle comes in a close second. Seems to be a case of the Globes wanting to nominate 10 Best Drama films and shoving the extras into the comedy category.

Other notables are the obvious nods for Gravity and 12 Years a Slave in almost every category and the lack of Monsters University in the Best Animated category. First time Pixar has been missing in a while. The Globes also liked Rush a bit more than I did, nominating it for Best Drama along with a few others.

Check out the full list below and tell us what you think got snubbed or shouldn't be there.
