127 Hours so intense, even more viewers passing out

The James Franco starring, Danny Boyle directed, 127 Hours continues to take more victims. After reports of three people passing out, and a possible seizure, at the Toronto International Film Festival screening last month, another two people fainted last Friday in Pixar’s theater during a screening held by the director of Toy Story 3. The movie chronicles the real-life experience of Aron Ralston, a hiker who was forced to amputate his own arm with a blunt knife after being trapped underneath a boulder.

Word is the amputation scene is simply brutal to get through. But, come on, what better publicity can you get than this? Okay, maybe the people invited to a screening at Pixar by the director of Toy Story 3 don’t have the strongest constitutions, but you have to recognize a pattern when you see it.

After Boyle’s Oscar-winning success with Slumdog Millionaire, everyone has been waiting on pins and needles for his next directorial effort. Now, with these reports, we can safely say that the Oscar hype-train will roll on. I know I can’t wait to avert my eyes from this thing!
