By This newest trailer for 47 Ronin (starring Keanu Reeves, whoa) looks like a big and dumb spectacle, and there’s probably nothing wrong with that. I mean, sure 47 Ronin is based off a much better film, and sure it pulls a Last Samurai and gives us a lead non-Asian actor in an overtly Asian flick, but since 47 Ronin is more of a generic fantasy tale than generic samurai, I’ll take what I can get.
But hey, at least Reeves fights a dragon. That’s gotta be cool, right? Right? Anyone? 47 Ronin whoas theaters Christmas Day.
