New Bond poster drives the old school home

If there’s been one thing made drastically clear about Spectre is that it is a full return to form for Bond. The character creation and building of Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall are done and we’re about to get “Bond, James Bond” back. This new poster is no different.

Craig is absolutely destroying the summer tux here, much like his predecessors have done, and there’s just something daringly old school about actually throwing on a white tux jacket with a balls out bow tie. The cocksure stance and arms crossed gun hold are also very reminiscent of Connery and the masked man in the background hearkens back to Roger Moore’s nemesis in Live and Let Die, Baron Samedi. Not to mention the silenced Walther and the carnation. It’s as classic Bond as the first poster release, and for some reason excites me even more than the trailer

If the next poster has him shooting between a pair of women’s legs I’ll pretty much go to heaven.
