Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will see a re-release with extra footage

If you happened to miss Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on the big screen, you’ll soon get a second chance to catch it. Director Quentin Tarantino’s hit film (which is now his most successful to date) will be getting a re-release in theaters with some additional footage in tow. Now clocking in at nearly three hours, an extra 10 minutes of footage has been added to flesh out the picture and bring it closer to Tarantino’s original vision.

Adrian Smith, Sony Pictures’ president of domestic distribution, said “Audiences have shown tremendous support for this movie, and we look forward to offering them another opportunity to see the film as it’s meant to be seen — in theaters on the big screen — with more sights and sounds of the sixties from Quentin Tarantino as an added treat.”

The re-release will be hitting roughly 1,000 North American theaters starting tomorrow, October 25. This should make up for the lack of a Chinese release.
