A little dash of crazy goes a long way in the new Glass trailer

His mother says he’s changed, that he’s given up. However, that theory quickly proves false as Elijah Price catches a glimpse of his new roommates and sets into motion a new plan. The nearly three-minute trailer is chock full of interaction between Price, David Dunn, and Dennis (et al) as they meet with a psychiatrist and her experimental procedures. When The Beast rears its head, it’s seemingly Dunn who will be called upon to be the hero. But this is an M. Night Shyamalan film, so things are rarely ever as they seem.

Forming the third act in a winding story, Glass combines and culminates 2000’s Unbreakable and 2016’s Split. The former a dark take on the superhero/villain comic trope, and the latter a wild look into one man’s broken mind that enables him to do inhuman things. Elijah preying on Dennis’s mind takes a further step into his comic book fixation and the constant battle of good and evil.

Glass will hit theaters on January 18th.
