Alamo Drafthouse to house all-clown showings of IT

As the release date for Steven King’s second film adaptation of the year, It, draws near (September 8), Alamo Drafthouse has announced that at least one of its theaters will house a clown-only showing. As if the movie weren’t terrifying enough already.

The Dark Tower has been a bit of a let down thus far having made only $88M on a production budget of $60M, not including marketing costs. If throwing clown parties is what it takes to help It succeed, so be … never mind. It’s predicted that all other movie showings at the local Alamo Drafthouse will bring in exactly zero dollars the day of Clowning Around.

What would it take for you to attend an all-clown showing of It, or any movie, or just in general for that matter?
