Alejandro Jodorowsky successfully funds his new film via Kickstarter

Cult filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky (pictured above with his biggest fans, Kanye West and a grey cat) successfully funded his new film, Endless Poetry, through Kickstarter. We reported about Jodorowsky’s Kickstarter campaign a month ago, and I’d like to think the power of Flixist helped make this movie possible. (If anything, I donated a couple bucks since he’s responsible for some of my favorite movies: El Topo, The Holy Mountain, Santa Sangre)

The Endless Poetry crowdfunding campaign crawled over the $350,000 mark a few days ago, which means the world will get another oddball autobiographical film from the father of the midnight movie. Endless Poetry is a follow-up to his previous film, The Dance of Reality. There are still three days to go, and as of this writing, Jodorowsky has earned a whoppin’ $385,000.

If you’d like to give Jodorowsky your filthy, filthy lucre to see some weird and beautiful things, you can visit the Kickstarter campaign by clicking here.
