Alien: Covenant gets a prologue with food and drinking

Yesterday we got our first good look at the crew of Alien: Covenant and today we have a bit of a prologue to the film that’s been released. “Prologue: Last Supper” doesn’t really tell us much, but it has fun playing with some of Alien tropes. The crew seems pretty stereotypical and rounded out by all the cultural necessities you need to start picking off people in a science fiction horror film.

That’s a good thing. Prometheus‘s departure from the norm means a full scale retreat back to the franchise’s strengths is what is needed. That seems in full force here, though its chopped together editing makes it feel a bit more like cutting room floor footage pieced together than an actual prologue. The choking got me for a second, though.
