Angel joins the already jampacked X-Men: Age of Apocalypse

X-Men: Apocalypse, the set in the 80s sequel to Days of Future Past, seems like it’s adding new mutants every day. We missed the last one, Jubilee, and we’re here to remedy that with Bryan Singer’s latest announcement that Angel/Not Angel (played by Ben Hardy, and not by Ben Foster seen in The Last Stand) is joining the film as well:

“Ben Hardy is Angel – I shall confirm it for you!” said Singer. “But he’s not a very nice Angel! And that’s all I’ll say…”

In the comics, Angel is a mutant who’s mutilated and loses his wings when Apocalypse (who’ll be played by Oscar Isaac in the film) gives him new wings in exchange for becoming one of his four horsemen, Death. That new Archangel form might be what this art alludes to since the comic counterpart also features metal wings. Either way, this is yet another character on top of everybody damn else.
