By And the Anne Hathaway hype train rolls on. After knocking it out of the park at the Golden Globes for Les MiseraBLUH, and generally being the cutest Disney Princess ever, The Wrap reports that Hathaway is looking to star in an adaptation of the Shakespeare play Taming of the Shrew.
Little is known about the project other than Abi Morgan will write it, and it will take place in “mid-20th century Italy” (whatever that means). And seeing as how I have never read the play (I chose to read Hamlet twice in class instead), I assume “taming shrews” is a euphemism for drugs. Or sex. Or taxes. Look, Shakespeare’s plays were weird alright? Still, I’m a huge fan of Hathaway and I’m willing to see whatever she’s in. I’ll keep an eye on this as more news should be cropping up in the next year or so.
