Arnold Schwarzenegger signed for Terminator 5, maybe 6

Megan Ellison secured the rights for the Terminator franchise from PacificCorp, and now has Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed to appear in Terminator 5 and possibly Terminator 6. Arnold had agreed to return to the Terminator franchise back in 2011, though the rights and creative team issues apparently put his involvement in question. The rights to the Terminator franchise revert back to James Cameron in 2019.

Megan and her brother David Ellison will partner for these two films. JoBlo notes that both the Ellisons have an impressive list of movies under their belts. Megan’s Annapurna Pictures is responsible for The Master, Zero Dark Thirty, and Silver Linings Playbook. David’s Skydance Productions has Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Jack Reacher, and Star Trek Into Darkness (aka The Star Trek Rises).

There is no script for either of the two Terminator sequels as of now. There’s no director at the moment either. At one time Justin Lin was attached to direct, but then he backed out.
