By This could actually be one of the greatest pranks to ever be pulled by an actor, but Michael Shannon is claiming that his character in Batman v. Superman, who we’re all guessing is some incarnation of Zod, will have flippers. This comes from an odd anecdote he told Vulture.
“I was in my costume, and I couldn’t use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands. So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn’t open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder, the director] being like, ‘Where’s Shannon? Where the fuck is he?’ and the whole crew was standing around. I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, ‘Let me out of here!’”
So… that’s weird. It could all be something he said to upset fanboys, but as we know from the trailer there’s a frozen Zod in the movie. Maybe Lex clones him and it gets all messed up? Maybe he tries to replace some missing DNA with frog DNA and then Zod changes sex and starts replicating with himself. Who knows!
