Beverly Hills Cop 4 pulled from Paramount’s release schedule

Getting Beverly Hills Cop 4 off the ground has been quite the struggle, so much so that it seems to be staying right where it is, which is in development hell. Paramount, which had the film slated for release March 25, 2016, has pulled the movie from it’s release schedule and put it on hold indefinitely.

Our guess is that this date change is for avoiding being anywhere near Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but usually when a jump like that is made they release a new release date as well. Here they did not so things are a bit concerning. Even though Brett Ratner was locked down to direct the film was having script problems and star Eddie Murphy promised he wouldn’t return unless the script was something special. Maybe nothing special has been produced yet.
