By In perhaps the biggest surprise to come out of Marvel’s Sand Diego Comic Con panel, it was announced that the half-vampire hunter will be joining the MCU with a new standalone film.

Previously played by Wesley Snipes across three films, the incredible Mahershala Ali will be taking up the swords and guns for the new film, presumably a total reboot unrelated to the previous movies.
No date or timeframe was given for Blade‘s release, though one can imagine simply knowing of its existence will send fans into a tizzy.
