Boop: the true story of Betty Boop starring Rose McGowan

0

Betty Boop may not hold a candle to animated sex symbols like Jessica Rabbit (as Boop herself readily admits in Roger Rabbit), but she was one of the first animated sex symbols around. This is not so subtly pointed out in Funny or Die’s hilarious mock trailer for an upcoming Betty Boop film starring Rose McGowan and… wait for it… wait for it… Billy “The Phantom” Zane.

Unbeknown to most, this film tells the story of the girl who suffered a terrible brain injury and grew up to be the world famous mentally challenged lounge singer, Betty Boop. It’s a striking tale and everyone in the trailer does an amazing job with McGowan making disturbingly obvious how strange a real-life Betty Boop is.

Even more impressive is the digital giant head work of Dustin Bower, which is one of the few things that could ever get you to stop staring at McGowan’s cleavage.
