Box Office Numbers: Crime Day • Flixist

In celebration of #CrimeDay, I’ve stolen Geofferson’s Box Office Numbers post for the week. Do you know Crime Day? Inspired by Flixistentialism and The Purge, it’s a special once a year event in which you get 12 hours to commit as much crime as you want without consequence. What did I do? I made the world’s largest pancake and threw it away. What would you do?

Also a crime is Scary Movie 5 made any money. Thankfully it’s not the top dog (that honor goes to the surprisingly good 42). Rounding out the top 3 is my Editor’s Choice pick, The Croods. I guess folks are still drawn to Nic Cage’s beatnik inspired caveman performance. As for Evil Dead? It shot waaay down, man.
