Bridesmaids 2: Bridemaid Harder could happen

OK, that probably won’t be the actual title if a sequel to Bridesmaids is ever made, but really shouldn’t all sequels be named whatever the first one was named and then the word harder?

Word comes from the director of Bridesmaids, Paul Feig, that the strong U.S. open of the film and the confidence the studios have in its international release have the filmmakers already discussing sequel. The director admitted that it depends on how the film does once it goes international, but said talks of a sequel “had already been brought up.”

He went on to explain, “When you get a group that’s this deep and this good, it’s a crime to not use them again. You just want to make sure that you do it as well as you did the first one and try to make it better, even. So, we’re up for the challenge.”

I enjoyed the film enough, though though it failed in many ways. However, the group of ladies definitely showed that they could handle doing some solid comedy so if a second chance means a movie that actually succeeds at its goals then I’m all for it. Jenika on the other hand is probably going to shoot herself.
