Bryan Singer debuts X-Men: Apocalypse concept art

If you’re a highly celebrated director working on a beloved genre franchise, posting illusive concept art on Instagram seems to be the latest trend.

Just a few months after District 9 director Neill Blomkamp posted his fan-driven take on the Alien franchise, Bryan Singer has run off with the same idea and posted a piece of concept art from the upcoming X-Men film, Apocalypse. Although it’s hard to confirm what the illustration is portraying, it bears remarkable resemblance to the illustrious ship that transfigures the first mutant, En Sabah Mur into the brutish villain Apocalypse.

Bryan Singer has made comments suggesting he wanted to move away from the potentially disastrous origin area, but the post alludes to a different story. Quite frankly, it would be difficult to introduce a magnificently titanic character like Apocalypse without divulging some of his most basic history to audiences.

Inside Llewyn Davis and upcoming Star Wars star Oscar Isaac has signed on to breath life into the character. X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled to hit theaters world wide on May 27, 2016

Some production art. #XmenApocalypse #GrantMajor I was a little busy but will continue to snap more.
